In Lagos State, Health Matters Incorporated partnered with the GF/IHVN/TBN/CLM project from April to June 2026 to strengthen healthcare at Ilupewo Health Centre in Eredo LCDA by putting the community at the center of change. The team-built relationships with local leaders, assessed the facility’s needs, and listened to community members and clients through discussions and interviews. They discovered major challenges: a bad road limiting patient access, a lack of a DOT center for TB treatment, and no HIV test kits. Through persistent advocacy, the Community-Led Monitoring Team secured 40 packs of HIV test kits and a newly renovated DOT center for the facility—proving that when communities and health providers work together, real improvements happen.
